Atletico Madrid have reportedly made contact with Manchester United over a potential move for Alexis Sanchez in this summer's transfer window.
The Chile international joined United in January 2018 off the back of an impressive spell at Arsenal.
The 30-year-old has scored just five goals in 45 appearances for the Red Devils, however, and has been tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer in search of pastures new.
Both Juventus and Inter Milan have reportedly met with Sanchez's agent to discuss a switch for the attacker.
However, according to Redgol, Atletico have also contacted United over a summer swoop. That said, the South American will have to lower his wage demands if he wishes to join Diego Simeone's side.
Sanchez, who played under Simeone at River Plate during the 2007-08 campaign, still has three years left to run on his contract with United, which is said to be worth in excess of £500,000 a week.
