Barcelona reportedly view signing Ilaix Moriba to a new contract as more important than bringing Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum to the club this summer.
Moriba has made the breakthrough into the club's first team during the 2020-21 campaign, featuring in eight appearances in all competitions, providing three assists and one goal.
The 18-year-old's current deal is due to expire next June, though, and Manchester United are reportedly desperate to bring him to Old Trafford.
Barca continue to be linked with Wijnaldum, who could be a free agent at the end of June, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Koeman's side are prioritising a new deal for Moriba over a move for the Netherlands international.
The report claims that the teenager is viewed as a key part of the club's future and is likely to be handed an important role in the squad next season if he pens a new contract.
Moriba, who has scored once and provided three assists in five La Liga appearances this season, is also thought to be a target for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. body check tags ::
