Manchester United are reportedly still determined to bring Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba to Old Trafford.

The 18-year-old has made the breakthrough into the Barca first team during the 2020-21 campaign, featuring on seven occasions for the club in all competitions, including four outings in La Liga.

A recent report claimed that Man United have made a 'firm offer' for the teenager as they look to fight off competition from RB Leipzig to secure his signature during this summer's transfer window.

However, Barca are said to be working on an extension to the midfielder's current deal, which is due to expire at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

According to Mundo Deportivo, despite the Catalan club's desire to keep Moriba, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are still working to bring him to England.

The youngster, who has been with his current side since 2010, scored his first La Liga goal against Osasuna at the start of March. body check tags ::
