Barcelona are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Frenkie de Jong during this summer's transfer window.
The Netherlands international has been a key player for the Catalan giants during the 2021-22 campaign, making 44 appearances in all competitions, contributing four goals and five assists in the process.
The midfielder's future at Camp Nou has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, though, with Manchester United believed to be keen to sign him in the upcoming market.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are also said to be keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding the Dutchman.
De Jong has a contract with Barcelona until June 2026, and the club's head coach Xavi recently expressed a desire to keep hold of the 24-year-old on a long-term basis.
However, according to Sport, the La Liga giants are open to listening to offers for the midfielder during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that De Jong is not officially on the transfer market, but 'a very important offer' would be studied by the Catalan outfit, who have ongoing financial problems.
Valencia recently denied that they were in discussions with Barcelona over a summer deal for Carlos Soler amid the recent speculation.
However, it is alleged that Xavi's side, who are bidding to secure a top-four spot in La Liga, would target a move for Soler if they were to sell De Jong ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
De Jong joined Ajax from Willem II in 2015 and went on to make 89 appearances for the Dutch giants, helping them win the Eredivisie and Dutch Cup, before arriving at Barcelona in 2019.
The midfielder has made 137 appearances for the Catalan side in all competitions, contributing 13 goals and 17 assists in the process, but he has only won one trophy at the club, the 2020-21 Copa del Rey.
Barcelona are already believed to have an agreement with AC Milan's Franck Kessie for the Ivory Coast international to join the club on a free transfer at the end of June.
Meanwhile, Xavi's team are allegedly preparing to accelerate contract talks with Gavi, who is out of contract next summer and continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
Andreas Christensen is also set to arrive on a free transfer from Chelsea, while Barcelona are said to be determined to bring a new striker to Camp Nou during the summer transfer window. body check tags ::
