Barcelona have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo.
Having previously spent a number of years in the academy setup at Camp Nou, Olmo has acknowledged that he would be interested in a reunion with the Catalan giants.
However, according to reports in Spain, Barcelona will not be pursuing a deal during the January window due to needing to place priority on other areas of the pitch.
The La Liga leaders, who have replaced manager Ernesto Valverde with Quique Setien, need to find a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez.
With it being alleged that there is little room for movement on Barca's wage bill, any approach for Olmo has been put off until at least the summer.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the 21-year-old.
