Bayern Munich are reportedly very confident that they will be able to sign Jamal Musiala to a new long-term contract despite the growing interest in his services.
The 20-year-old is believed to be on the radar of a number of the biggest clubs in world football, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester City all said to be keeping an eye on his situation in Munich.
Musiala has another three years left to run on his contract at Allianz Arena, so there is not an immediate panic when it comes to his future, but Bayern are said to be determined to extend his deal.
According to 90min, the Bundesliga champions are confident of convincing Musiala to pen a longer-term contract with the club in the not too distant future.
The report claims that Real Madrid and Barcelona have made it clear that they want to sign him, while there is 'significant' interest from the Premier League in the shape of Liverpool and Man City.
Arsenal and Manchester United have also allegedly asked to be kept informed of any developments, while Chelsea would be keen to bring him back to the club if the opportunity cropped up.
Musiala represented Southampton's youth side between 2010 and 2011 before arriving at Chelsea, spending eight years in the academy set-up with the Blues.
The forward failed to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea, though, finishing his youth career at Bayern before making his first-team debut for the club in June 2020.
Musiala became Bayern's youngest-ever player in the Bundesliga when he turned out against Freiburg at the age of 17 years and 115 days old, and he later went on to become their youngest-ever goalscorer at 17 years and 205 days old against Schalke 04 in September 2020.
The attacker has managed 32 goals and 25 assists in 133 appearances for Bayern, while he is also a vital player for Germany, scoring twice and providing three assists in 25 caps for his national side.
Musiala was outstanding for Bayern during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 16 goals and registering 16 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions, including 12 goals and 13 assists in the Bundesliga.
Thomas Tuchel's side allegedly have no fears at this stage that Musiala could have his head turned, and discussions over a new contract are expected to officially begin in 2024.
Bayern are again the overwhelming favourites to win the Bundesliga this season, and they are currently third in the table, two points behind leaders Bayern Leverkusen.
The Munich outfit will also be bidding for Champions League success in 2023-24, and the club have opened their group-stage campaign with successive wins over Man United and Copenhagen. body check tags ::
