Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to offer a new contract to Arjen Robben in a bid to fight off interest from Manchester United.
Robben has worked with Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal during his time in charge of the Bavarian club and was a key figure in Van Gaal's Netherlands squad at last summer's World Cup.
According to the Daily Star, Bayern are so concerned by the potential lure of Van Gaal for Robben that they are willing to offer him a new contract, which would keep the winger at the club until 2018.
Robben, who is believed to have turned down a move to United when he signed for Chelsea in 2004, only put pen to paper on his existing deal last year.
