Blackburn Rovers are in talks to sign Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson for £6m.
Manager Steve Kean indicated to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph that deals for Gibson and two other players were close.
"Things have moved on,” said Kean. “We have had bids accepted and we are close to three players now."
The Republic of Ireland international, 23, made twelve league appearances for United last season as he picked up his first Premier League winners' medal.
However, national coach Giovanni Trapattoni has urged Gibson to seek regular first-team football away from Old Trafford to increase his chances of playing international football.
Gibson, who has also been linked with Newcastle and Sunderland, came up through the Manchester United youth ranks and has gone on to score 10 goals in 58 appearances for the senior side.
