Newcastle United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United defender Brandon Williams on loan during the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old has been restricted to just five appearances this season, with both Luke Shaw and Alex Telles ahead of him when it comes to the left-back spot at Old Trafford.
Williams only recently signed a new long-term deal with the Red Devils but could allegedly be available on loan for the second half of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to ChronicleLive, Newcastle are 'monitoring' the defender, who has scored once and provided three assists in 40 first-team appearances for the United.
The report claims that Magpies boss Steve Bruce's strong relationship with United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has placed the club in a strong position when it comes to potentially securing a January deal.
Southampton were strongly linked with the England Under-21s international in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.
