Bristol City are reportedly preparing a bid for Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Derby County, where he scored two goals in 14 appearances.
City boss Steve Cotterill and director of football Keith Burt are said to be looking to strengthen the squad ahead of their return to the Championship this season.
Lingard has struggled to break into the first-team squad under United boss Louis van Gaal in the past year and it is thought that he could be allowed to leave Old Trafford.
According to the Bristol Post, City will make a club-record £2.5m bid for the England Under-21 international.
Lingard has made one appearance for United.
