Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco is reportedly prepared to take a pay cut in order to force through a move from Dalian Yifang to Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has been touted as a target for the Gunners and Premier League rivals Manchester United over the past week.
Carrasco is believed to be unhappy in the Far East, just a year after linking up with the Chinese Super League side in a shock switch from Atletico Madrid.
Arsenal are attempting to bring the Belgium international back to Europe, and Calciomercato suggests that the player is prepared to take a hit on his £9m annual salary in a bid to join the North London outfit.
Unai Emery is not expected to have any funds to spend in January, however, meaning that Arsenal may have to hold out until later this year to finance a move, giving Man United and AC Milan a chance to pounce.
Carrasco has contributed to 12 goals in 25 league appearances for Dalian this season.
