Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could reportedly leave the club next summer.
Casemiro is currently competing in his second season with Man United following his arrival from Real Madrid in 2022.
He made a significant impression during his first campaign with the club, chipping in with seven goals and seven assists in 52 competitive appearances.
The Brazil international helped the Red Devils secure a top-four finish and lift the EFL Cup – the club's first trophy in seven years.
However, Casemiro has experienced a much tougher second season after seeing some of his performances come under scrutiny.
The former Real Madrid man made 12 appearances across all competitions before being sidelined with a couple of injury issues.
Although Casemiro has over two years remaining on his contract, Football Insider are reporting that Man United will sanction a sale in 2024.
The report claims that Man United are ready to let him depart next summer, while the player is also open to leaving the club at the end of the season.
While a summer departure appears to be the most likely scenario, Casemiro has been linked with a move away in the January transfer window.
Clubs from the Saudi Pro League are showing an interest in the Brazil international, and they should have the funds to afford his transfer fee and pay his significant salary, which is believed to be in excess of £300,000 a week.
At the moment, the 31-year-old is currently working on his recovery from a hamstring injury that he sustained earlier this month.
After coming back from an ankle problem, Casemiro returned to start Man United's EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle United on November 1.
However, he was forced off at half time against the Magpies with a hamstring issue, which is expected to keep him out of action until the new year. body check tags ::
