Chelsea are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United youngster Angel Gomes on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Gomes, 19, has made six first-team appearances for the Red Devils this season but has not featured since early January amid the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Indeed, the Englishman will see his contract at Old Trafford expire this summer and unlike Tahith Chong, the teenager is yet to commit his future to the 20-time English champions.
According to Metro, United have offered him a contract of £25,000 a week, but Gomes's representatives feel that he deserves a better package.
The report claims that Chelsea are watching the situation closely, and head coach Frank Lampard is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Gomes has made two Premier League appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this term.
