Contract renewal talks between Chelsea and defender Antonio Rudiger have reportedly broken down.
With the German's existing deal expiring in the summer, the Blues were said to be negotiating an extension amidst interest in his signature from across Europe.
However, according to Sky Sports, there are currently no talks taking place, with an improved offer having not been tabled by the club at this stage.
The 28-year-old was said to be open to staying at Stamford Bridge but quickly hit opposition to his increased wage demands, which would reportedly make him the highest-earning defender in the Premier League.
With Rudiger now able to discuss pre-contract agreements with other clubs, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with his signature, while Manchester United have also entered the running with interim manager Ralf Rangnick a keen admirer of the German international.
Since arriving in London from Roma in 2017, he has made 183 appearances for the Blues, featuring heavily in their Champions League and Club World Cup triumphs since the appointment of compatriot Thomas Tuchel as manager last year. body check tags ::
