Chelsea were not the team to table a £75m bid for Lille forward Victor Osimhen, according to a report.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a number of sides across Europe following an impressive campaign for Lille, as the striker amassed 13 Ligue 1 goals before the season was abruptly ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Liverpool and Chelsea have both been credited with an interest in Osimhen, and a recent report claimed that Lille received a £75m bid from an unnamed side for the Nigerian.
However, according to Football.London, Frank Lampard's side did not submit the bid in question, although the Blues remain interested in Osimhen.
The report also states that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both keeping a close eye on developments but it is unlikely that Lille will secure a £75m fee in the current financial climate.
Osimhen supposedly favours a move to the Premier League should he depart France this summer.
