Manchester City and Manchester United will reportedly both lose out to Juventus in the race to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in this summer's transfer window.
City and United have both been linked with moves for the 22-year-old, who has scored twice and contributed seven assists in 43 appearances for his French club this season.
However, according to The Sun, Juve - dumped out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals by Ajax - have won the race to sign the midfielder in a £60m deal.
As a result, City will be forced to look elsewhere as they search for a long-term Fernandinho replacement.
United, meanwhile, are expected to move for at least one central midfielder this summer, with Ander Herrera on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain.
