Nottingham Forest centre-back Michael Dawson has claimed that Leicester City will be unable to prevent Harry Maguire from joining Manchester United in this summer's transfer window.
Maguire continues to be strongly linked with a switch to United, whose head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly demanded the deal be completed as soon as possible.
Dawson, who played alongside Maguire at Hull City, has said that the England international will move to Old Trafford ahead of the 2019-20 campaign as Leicester will be unable to turn down the money on offer.
"Leicester have had him for two years and he's had the opportunity to have the England career he's having at the moment. He'll be there for many years. He's a top-class player," Dawson told Sky Sports News.
"When the deal does happen, and you think it will happen now with the figures that are being bandied around, you're going to wonder how Leicester do turn it down. How can you stop a player like Harry, what he's done for them, to go and play for a team like Manchester United, a massive football club?"
Maguire, who only signed a new long-term contract at the King Power Stadium last year, is said to be valued in the region of £80m by the Premier League club.
