Everton have reportedly decided to join the race to sign in-demand Porto defender Eder Militao.
The 20-year-old only made the switch to Europe during the summer transfer window, but the youngster has already established himself as a key part of Porto's defence.
The Brazilian has a £42.5m release clause in his contract at the Portuguese giants, and that has led to strong interest from a number of top clubs, including Manchester United.
According to UOL, Everton have emerged as admirers of the player and may be willing to launch an offer before the end of the January transfer window.
The Toffees may only be considered as outsiders to sign Militao, but the prospect will be aware that he may be able to earn more immediate first-team football at Goodison Park than at another team.
Militao has made a total of 19 starts in Portugal's top flight and the Champions League during the current campaign.
