Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has refused to comment on suggestions that his club are in a strong position to sign Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland next summer.
Haaland will have a £63m release clause in his BVB contract at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, and a number of clubs are expected to compete for his signature during next summer's transfer window.
The 21-year-old's agent Mino Raiola mentioned Man City as one of the teams that his client could join, with the Citizens seemingly looking to bring a new centre-forward to the club.
However, when questioned on the Norway international on Friday, Guardiola said that he was not prepared to discuss a possible move for the in-demand attacker.
"Next question. Don't ask me about that - I'm not going to answer," the Spaniard told reporters.
Raiola also mentioned Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona as candidates to sign Haaland but appeared to rule Manchester United out of the race for the Norwegian's signature. body check tags ::
