Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland is reportedly demanding a wage package worth £825,000 a week if he is to leave the Bundesliga club next summer.
The 21-year-old Norwegian has become one of the world's most sought-after strikers, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain monitoring his situation.
Haaland was in demand this summer, but Dortmund managed to keep hold of the striker for at least one more season, although his £68m release clause will become active in the summer of 2022.
According to Bild, not only would any potential bidder need to spend around £43m each year on Haaland's wages, but they would also have to fork out an extra £34m demanded by his agent Mino Raiola.
It is understood that Premier League champions Man City are in pole position to land Haaland next summer, following their failed attempts to land Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Haaland – who found the net on international duty for Norway in their 1-1 draw with the Netherlands on Wednesday – has made a bright start to the new campaign at club level, scoring six goals in five matches for Dortmund across all competitions. body check tags ::
