Manchester United defender Demetri Mitchell is reportedly heading to Hearts on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.

Mitchell, 20, made his first-team debut for United on the final weekend of the 2016-17 Premier League season.

The full-back then travelled with the squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, but he has not been involved in Jose Mourinho's selection during the 2017-18 campaign.

According to Edinburgh Evening News, Scottish Premiership club Hearts have agreed a deal with United to loan the England Under-20 international until the end of the current season.

Mitchell has scored four times and provided one assist in 12 Premier League appearances for United's Under-23 side this term.
