Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has decided that he wants to join Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
The German centre-back has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the club has rejected any United approach so far.
However, The Daily Mail reports that Hummels has told Dortmund that he wants to move to Manchester and become the latest big-money signing under Louis van Gaal.
Dortmund are understood to want £36m for Hummels, but the paper suggests that Van Gaal will tell United's hierarchy to pay the sum and do a deal.
Hummels was part of the Germany side that won the World Cup last summer.
