Inter Milan have reportedly made an offer of £13.5m for Manchester United's out-of-favour full-back Matteo Darmian.
The 26-year-old, who began his career at Inter's staunch rivals AC Milan, moved to Old Trafford from Torino in a £12.7m deal in 2015 but has struggled for game time this season under new manager Jose Mourinho.
According to Italian newspaper Leggo, Inter have offered Darmian a route back to the Serie A in January, proposing a £900,000 loan fee for the second half of the season coupled with a £12.6m option to buy next summer.
Frank de Boer's side are thought to be keen to agree a deal quickly amid rival interest from champions Juventus, although United are believed to prefer selling Darmian on a permanent deal in January rather than agreeing a loan move.
Spanish giants Barcelona have also emerged as a potential destination for the Italian in recent days.
