Inter Milan have reportedly placed an asking price on Denzel Dumfries amid interest in his signature.
When Inter secured his services from PSV Eindhoven in August 2021, they pulled off somewhat of a coup given his growing list of admirers.
Since then, the Netherlands international has proven to be value for money, contributing nine goals and 18 assists from his 109 appearances in all competitions.
With Dumfries providing two goals and three assists in 10 Serie A outings this term, Inter would ideally like to retain his services in the long term.
However, when moving to San Siro, Dumfries only penned a four-year contract, and he is now more than halfway through that deal.
Although Inter have time to negotiate fresh terms with the 27-year-old, they are also aware that he will not be short of attention the longer that he remains on his current terms.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are not prepared to consider a sale until they receive a proposal worth €50m (£43.6m).
A recent report claimed that each of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea were all interested in negotiating a deal for Dumfries.
Liverpool have long wanted senior backup for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who seems unlikely to be dislodged from right-back unless he is used more frequently in midfield.
Meanwhile, Man United currently have Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot at their disposal, the former continuing to be linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford.
Head coach Erik ten Hag is familiar with the player with his Ajax side having gone up against Dumfries before his exit from their fierce rivals PSV.
As far as Chelsea are concerned, they already have Reece James and Malo Gusto competing for the right-back spot, with Axel Disasi and Marc Cucurella alternative options.
Other clubs - whether that be in the Premier League or other major leagues - may also join the race, particularly if Dumfries enters the final 18 months of his contract.
With Inter competing for the Serie A title, a sale is unlikely to be considered at the midway point of the campaign unless a club makes an offer that proves too good to turn down. body check tags ::
