Jadon Sancho has reportedly not ruled out remaining at Manchester United, with the attacker delaying a final decision on his future until the ownership situation has been addressed.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe's 25% purchase of the 20-time English champions is set to be confirmed in the near future, with the British billionaire expected to take over football operations at Old Trafford.
A recent report claimed that Sancho could be handed the chance to salvage his Man United career under Ratcliffe, with the England international potentially benefitting from the change of approach.
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, the ex-Manchester City youngster is still leaning towards leaving Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
Plettenberg claims that a loan with an option to buy is 'the most realistic scenario', with Juventus believed to be at the head of the queue for his signature heading towards the winter market.
However, the journalist claims that Sancho has not completely ruled out staying at Man United and would be open to discussing his future with Ratcliffe before making a final call.
The 23-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since the end of August due to his falling-out with head coach Erik ten Hag, which stemmed from him not being included in the matchday squad against Arsenal.
Ten Hag told the media after the match at the start of September that Sancho had been left out due to some poor performances in training, but in a post on social media, the player insisted that was not the case, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat".
Sancho has been removed from the first-team picture entirely, and his relationship with Ten Hag is believed to be non-existent.
There is currently speculation surrounding Ten Hag's future, though, with suggestions that he could lose his job if the team are unable to pick up positive results in their next three matches.
Man United will host Chelsea and Bournemouth in their next two in the Premier League before welcoming Bayern Munich for a must-win Champions League game next week.
Ten Hag has urged the club to back him, but Saturday's 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James' Park appears to have been a very damaging result both on and off the field.
Sancho made the move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021, penning a five-year deal at Old Trafford, but he has struggled to make his mark for the English giants.
The forward has only managed 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for the Red Devils, but it is understood that a number of his teammates are urging Ten Hag to bring him back into the first-team picture. body check tags ::
