Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keeping tabs on young Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The 21-year-old returned to the capital outfit this summer following a two-year spell with fellow Serie A side Sassuolo, which saw him score nine goals in 47 appearances.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho sent scouts to watch Pellegrini in action during Roma's 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona at the weekend, having enquired about his availability earlier in the week.
In June Roma exerted their buy-back clause over Pellegrini, bringing him back to the Stadio Olimpico and handing him a five-year deal with weekly wages of £35,000.
Having featured for the Italy team at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, Pellegrini earned his first senior cap for his country earlier this year.
