Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly pushing for the club to move for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice during this summer's transfer window.
The England international has again been in strong form for the Hammers during the 2021-22 campaign, making 38 appearances in all competitions, contributing four goals and four assists in the process.
Manchester United and Chelsea continue to be strongly linked with the midfielder, who is valued by West Ham in excess of £150m, according to the club's head coach David Moyes.
However, according to Football Insider, there is also strong interest from Anfield, with Klopp desperate for his club to move for the 23-year-old in the upcoming market.
The report claims that the Liverpool manager feels Rice would be 'a perfect fit' in his team, although the German is unlikely to be handed the funds to make a move possible.
The midfielder still has more than two years left to run on his contract at London Stadium, while West Ham can extend the deal by a further 12 months, placing them in a strong position to negotiate.
Rice has made 183 appearances for the Hammers in all competitions since debuting in 2017, contributing nine goals and nine assists in the process. body check tags ::
