Juventus 'lining up double Manchester United raid in January'

Juventus want to sign both Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek from Manchester United in January, according to a report.

Juventus are reportedly keen to sign both Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek from Manchester United when the January transfer window opens for business.

Sancho's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the attacker preparing to leave Old Trafford in January due to his high-profile falling-out with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag.

According to the Dutchman, Sancho was not involved against Arsenal at the start of September due to some poor performances in training, but the ex-Manchester City youngster insisted that was not the case, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat" in a statement on social media.

Sancho has been removed from the first-team picture entirely, and it is highly unlikely that he will play for the club again, with a January departure said to be wanted by both parties.

Van de Beek, meanwhile, is not in the plans of Ten Hag moving forward, and the Netherlands international recently admitted that he needs to leave Old Trafford for the sake of his career.

According to TEAMtalk, Juventus are lining up a January move for both players, although it is unclear whether the offers will be for loan deals or permanent transfers.

The report claims that the Old Lady could attempt to agree a fee of just over £30m for Sancho and then make an offer to loan Van de Beek with an obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.

Sancho has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, including his former team Borussia Dortmund, while Barcelona are thought to have been monitoring developments.

However, talk surrounding a switch to Juventus has gathered pace of late, and the Turin outfit now appear to be in pole position to sign the Englishman in the winter market.

Sancho has found it difficult to impress for Man United since arriving from Dortmund in 2021, only managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances in all competitions.

The forward had been tipped to start this season in the first XI after some strong performances in pre-season, but he was a substitute for Man United's first three games of the Premier League campaign.

Van de Beek, meanwhile, has featured just twice for the 20-time English champions this term, with his only Premier League action coming as a late substitute against Crystal Palace in September.

The midfielder has also struggled to make his mark at Old Trafford since a move from Ajax in September 2020, contributing just two goals and two assists in 62 appearances.

Galatasaray and Newcastle United are also believed to be considering January moves for the Dutchman. body check tags ::
