Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe has dropped yet another hint that he will remain with the French champions until at least the end of next season.

After PSG turned down a nine-figure bid from Real Madrid last summer, the Parisiens had seemingly opened the door for Mbappe to join Los Blancos for free at the end of last season.

Despite Real Madrid's ongoing interest and persistent contacts, Mbappe stunned the European landscape by agreeing a new two-year deal with PSG with an option to extend until 2025.

However, only a few months after putting pen to paper, it was alleged that the 24-year-old felt "betrayed" by broken promises made during his contract signing, and he had performed another U-turn on his future.

Another last-16 exit from the Champions League has only intensified speculation that Mbappe could be on the move this summer, as Manchester United and Real Madrid keep a close eye on developments.

As things stand, the France international could walk away for nothing in 2024 if his one-year extension is not triggered, but he recently insisted that he was "very happy" at the club after breaking Edinson Cavani's all-time goalscoring record.

Speaking to France 3, Mbappe affirmed that he is still harbouring ambitions of winning the Champions League with PSG, hinting that he is prepared to stay until 2024 at the very least.

"The next step? Winning the Champions League. I have already made a final, semi-final, quarter-final, round of 16 ... I have done everything but win. That's all I need. Where [I want to do it]? In Paris. I'm a Parisian and under contract. So it's PSG," Mbappe said.

Yet to win their maiden Champions League crown, PSG were dumped out 3-0 on aggregate by Bayern Munich this season - their fifth last-16 exit in seven seasons.

Mbappe has enjoyed plentiful success domestically with Les Parisiens, but other off-field matters have cast further doubt on his future, including an alleged fractious relationship with Neymar.

The former Monaco starlet also voiced his disapproval of PSG's recent season ticket renewal campaign, where he featured prominently, affirming that the club is not called "Kylian Saint-Germain".

While the relationship between club and player is far from idyllic, PSG are expected to rebuff any attempts to prise Mbappe away from the Parc des Princes this summer, especially with Lionel Messi yet to renew his contract beyond the summer.

Mbappe has enjoyed another prolific campaign in PSG colours with 31 goals and eight assists from 35 games this term, taking his total for the capital club to 202 goals and 96 assists from 252 appearances in all tournaments.

The 24-year-old has scored a joint-high 138 Ligue 1 goals for PSG - level with Cavani - and he could become Les Parisiens' outright top scorer in the top flight when they host second-placed Lens in Saturday's top-of-table contest. body check tags ::
