Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms with Arsenal over the transfer of forward Alexis Sanchez.
While a deal has been expected to go through for a number of days, Sanchez had been selected as back-up for Arsenal's 18-man squad for the Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace.
That development came after United boss Jose Mourinho had openly acknowledged that Henrikh Mkhitaryan - who is likely to move the opposite way - had been left out of his own squad for their visit to Burnley.
However, according to The Mirror, United have acted to wrap up negotiations with the Gunners, and Sanchez left Arsenal's team hotel late on Friday night to travel to the North-West after a "late-night breakthrough" between the two clubs was reached.
Sanchez is likely to undergo a medical and finalise the remaining terms of his contract, with United expected to make a formal announcement over the weekend.
The report alleges that while Mkhitaryan is still likely to make the switch to North London, the clubs have agreed to do each deal separately.
