Liverpool have reportedly cooled suggestions that they sold Rafael Camacho to Sporting Lisbon as part of a plan to land Bruno Fernandes from the Portuguese giants.
The £70m-rated midfielder has been linked with a move to the Reds, as well as the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
There were even suggestions that Liverpool agreed to offload Camacho to Sporting earlier this week to give them an advantage over their rivals, but that does not appear to be the case.
According to The Mirror, the Merseyside outfit have poured cool water over those claims, with Fernandes not currently on their radar.
Fernandes contributed 23 goals and 14 assists from 41 outings in the Primeira Liga and Europa League last season.
