Liverpool and Manchester United have reportedly entered a battle to sign Vasco da Gama defender Dede.
Brazilian club Vasco recently confirmed that they would be looking to sell the 24-year-old at the end of the season in order to raise some much-needed funds.
Rivals Liverpool and United are both keen on signing the centre-back in the summer, according to The Mirror.
However, the Merseysiders are thought to be leading the chase after establishing a working relationship with the private investment firm that owns 55% of the player.
