Liverpool's Jadon Sancho hopes 'rest on Champions League spot'

Liverpool must finish in the Premier League top four to stand a chance of signing Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho this summer, according to a report.

Liverpool will reportedly only be able to compete for Jadon Sancho's signature during this summer's transfer window if they secure Champions League football for the 2021-22 campaign.

Manchester United are said to be preparing to reignite their interest in the Borussia Dortmund attacker, who could be available for around £50m in the upcoming market.

According to Bild, Liverpool are also still keen on the England international, who has scored 12 goals and registered 16 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.

The report, though, claims that the Reds will only stand a chance of signing the former Manchester City youngster if they can secure a top-four finish in this season's Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp's side are currently sixth in the table and would be seven points behind fourth-placed Chelsea if the Blues beat Fulham on Saturday evening.

Sancho has recovered from a muscular problem to feature in Dortmund's last two Bundesliga games.
