Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has admitted that he is unsure of Kylian Mbappe's plans for the summer, as the speculation surrounding the forward continues.
Mbappe can bring to an end his contract at PSG on June 30, with Real Madrid still the favourites for his signature despite reports of interest from the Premier League.
There had been suggestions that Real Madrid wanted the 25-year-old to make a decision on his future by the middle of January, with the Spanish giants not prepared to enter into another saga.
Carlo Ancelotti's side were expected to sign Mbappe on a free transfer in 2022, only for the ex-Monaco youngster to pen a new contract in the French capital.
Mbappe has again been in strong form for PSG during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 28 goals and registering six assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.
When questioned on the situation on Thursday, Enrique admitted that he has no idea when it comes to the France international's plans for the end of the campaign.
"Kylian didn't tell me anything so far," said the PSG head coach.
Mbappe has scored 19 goals and registered three assists in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season, while he has netted three goals in six outings in the Champions League.
The forward has made 287 appearances for PSG in total, scoring 240 goals and registering 104 assists in the process, but his time at the club appears to be coming to a close.
Any departure on a free transfer this summer could be historic in terms of the signing-on fee that he is likely to receive at a proposed new club, in addition to a substantial wage packet.
Liverpool continue to be linked with Mbappe, although the club's plans for the summer transfer window could now be placed on hold following news of Jurgen Klopp's upcoming exit.
Real Madrid are also believed to be keeping a close eye on Erling Haaland's situation at Manchester City, with the Spanish giants thought to be keen on the Norway international.
Mbappe is still thought to be their leading target, though, and it has been claimed that Vinicius Junior could be sold if the Frenchman arrives at Bernabeu.
Manchester United are said to have a long-term interest in Vinicius, with the Red Devils potentially moving for the Brazilian if it becomes apparent that he will leave in the wake of Mbappe's potential arrival. body check tags ::
