James Maddison is reportedly not expecting to move to Manchester United in the January transfer window despite interest from the Old Trafford club.
Maddison has been in top form as Leicester City have climbed to second in the Premier League table and is said to have attracted interest from a number of clubs.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United are unlikely to make an approach this month and Maddison is not expecting to leave Leicester mid-season.
The reports adds that United are big admirers of the former Norwich City midfielder and view him as a prime target, but Maddison will likely make a decision about his future in the summer.
United have been short in midfield this season with Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba both suffering with injuries, while Nemanja Matic has been out of favour.
Maddison, meanwhile, has scored six goals in 20 Premier League appearances and made his England debut in 2019.
