Manchester City and Arsenal are two of eight clubs interested in signing in-form Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window, according to a report.
Vlahovic has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in European football courtesy of a prolific 2021 which has seen him outscored by only Robert Lewandowski among top-flight leagues this calendar year.
The 21-year-old became only the second player - after Cristiano Ronaldo - since 1961 to score 33 Serie A goals in a calendar year during his most recent outing, and could break Ronaldo's personal best tally when Fiorentina face Hellas Verona on Wednesday.
Vlahovic has just 18 months remaining on his current deal at Fiorentina and has already refused the most lucrative contract offer in the club's history.
The Times reports that as many as eight clubs are keeping tabs on his situation, including Premier League trio Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have also been credited with an interest, although Manchester United are not named as potential suitors despite previous reports putting them in the race.
Fiorentina are reportedly demanding up to €100m (£84.8m) to let Vlahovic leave in January, while the player is after wages of around £200,000 per week.
The Serbia international tops the Serie A scoring charts this season with 16 goals in just 18 appearances. body check tags ::
