Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in signing Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United, according to a report.
The Chile international has spent the whole of the 2019-20 on loan with Inter Milan after struggling to adapt to life at Old Trafford.
Sanchez has impressed for Inter since Serie A's restart last month and the Italian club are keen to extend his stay by a further year.
United are looking to get the flop forward's £400,000-a-week wages off their books, with Inter supposedly prepared to pay a quarter of that.
However, Chilean newspaper La Cuarta claims that City may be willing to end Sanchez's United nightmare for good by making an approach this summer.
Guardiola worked with the 31-year-old at Barcelona and tried to sign him from Arsenal in January 2018, only for United to outbid their rivals.
Sanchez has scored and assisted a combined nine goals in his last eight league outings.
