Manchester City are reportedly prepared to break their transfer record to sign rumoured Manchester United target Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan.
The 24-year-old has long been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, though speculation of a possible deal being struck between the two clubs has died down since Jose Mourinho was sacked in December.
United are not alone in showing an interest in the Slovakia international, though, as Calciomercato reports that Man City are also in the running to sign him.
City are supposedly happy to meet the defender's £85.5m valuation as they have doubts over Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi, both of whom appear to be nearing the end of their time at the Etihad Stadium.
Skriniar's agent revealed last week that the Citizens had a £46m offer turned down for his client last year, but the door remains open for a switch this time around.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are also confirmed suitors for the former Sampdoria ace.
