Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has emerged as a surprise rumoured transfer target for Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The 24-year-old is back at Stamford Bridge after spending the 2018-19 campaign on loan with AC Milan.
Milan were initially keen to sign the Frenchman on a permanent deal, but they were unable to agree a fee with Chelsea.
Bakayoko is not believed to be part of new boss Frank Lampard's plans, however, and RMC Sport suggests that he could yet be on his way out of West London this summer.
United are said to have put plans in place ready for Paul Pogba's possible departure to Real Madrid, with Bakayoko considered an adequate replacement.
Chelsea paid £40m to sign the 24-year-old from Monaco in 2017, but he made just 44 appearances before departing.
