Manchester United are reportedly set to lock horns with Barcelona for the signature of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in next summer's transfer window.
The 17-year-old has featured in all 12 of his team's Ligue 1 fixtures this season, in addition to playing in three of the French side's four Europa League matches, only missing out against Cluj last time out through suspension.
A whole host of clubs are said to be interested in the teenager, who is believed to have a £26m release clause inserted into his current deal, which runs until the summer of 2022.
However, according to The Sun, United and Barca are expected to go head to head for the Frenchman, who made his first-team debut for Rennes at the age of 16.
The report claims that the Red Devils view Camavinga as a long-term successor for Paul Pogba, with the Frenchman widely expected to move on either in January or at the end of the season.
Manchester City are also believed to be keeping a close eye on developments.
