Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez.
The France international has made over 200 appearances since joining Milan from Real Madrid in the summer of 2019.
Hernandez is regarded as a key player in Stefano Pioli's side, which is highlighted by the fact that he has worn the captain's armband on several occasions this season.
The left-back has featured in 38 competitive matches this season, contributing to Milan's attacking efforts with five goals and 10 assists.
Although Hernandez is an important member of Milan's squad, he is currently being linked with a move away from San Siro this summer.
According to Fichajes, Man United and Chelsea are both considering whether to make a move for Hernandez ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Red Devils are believed to be keen to strengthen the left side of their defence, having seen Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both struggle with injuries this season.
As a result, Man United boss Erik ten Hag has been forced to use the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof as makeshift left-backs this season.
Like Man United, Chelsea have also have also been affected by injuries to their left-back options during various points of the campaign.
Marc Cucurella spent around three months on the sidelines before returning to action earlier this month, while England international Ben Chilwell continues to be hampered by injury issues.
Hernandez attracting interest from elsewhere
Man United and Chelsea could face competition for Hernandez's signature, with journalist Matteo Moretto reporting that Bayern Munich view him as a replacement for Alphonso Davies.
With the Canada international set to enter the final 12 months of his deal, he is currently being linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
While Bayern are still keen to extend his stay with the club, there are seemingly making contingency plans for Davies's potential departure.
Hernandez, who is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, has two years left on his Milan contract and there have been no talks at this stage over extending his current deal.
There is a belief that the Rossoneri will demand a fee between €70m (£59.9m) and €80m (£68.5m) to part ways with Hernandez in the summer transfer window. body check tags ::
