Manchester United have confirmed that Alexis Sanchez has completed a loan move to Inter Milan.
The Chile international has joined the Italian giants for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign, having been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
On Thursday afternoon, Sanchez posted a message on his social media profiles wishing his former teammates "good luck" for the rest of the season.
Both United and Inter have now confirmed that the switch has gone through, with Sanchez joining Romelu Lukaku in swapping the Red Devils for Antonio Conte's side this summer.
Inter are said to be contributing £4.5m of the attacker's salary this season, leaving United to pay the remaining £6m of the South American's huge way packet.
The former Arsenal forward has managed just five goals in 45 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
Sanchez still has three years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, though, and there is no option for the loan move to become permanent at the end of the campaign.
The move leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side short of options in the final third of the field with Anthony Martial set to miss Saturday's trip to Southampton through injury. As a result, 17-year-old Mason Greenwood is the only other first-team alternative to Marcus Rashford at centre-forward.
