Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to leave Manchester United during the January transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly planning for Aaron Wan-Bissaka's departure during the January market.

The 25-year-old is currently with the Red Devils squad in Spain for their mid-season training camp, and he started Wednesday's 4-2 defeat to Cadiz before being replaced at the break.

Wan-Bissaka has only played four minutes of competitive football for Erik ten Hag's side this term, though, with Diogo Dalot viewed as the undisputed first-choice right-back at Old Trafford.

The former Crystal Palace youngster has spent time on the sidelines through injury, but he has not even been in a Premier League squad since the 1-0 win over Southampton at the end of August.

Wan-Bissaka was strongly linked with an exit over the summer, with Palace believed to be interested in re-signing the player that they sold to Man United for around £50m in the summer of 2019.

The defender ultimately remained at Old Trafford, but he is not in the plans of Ten Hag moving forward, and according to 90min, the Red Devils are preparing for his exit at the start of 2023.

Wan-Bissaka, who has a deal in Manchester until the summer of 2024, lost his starting role at right-back following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure as head coach in November 2021.

The Englishman has made 127 appearances for Man United in all competitions, contributing two goals and 10 assists in the process, but he might have now played his final game for the club.

The report claims that Man United are considering their options when it comes to his replacement, with Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong and Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries both options.

Celtic's Josip Juranovic and Lyon's Malo Gusto are also said to be targets, although it remains to be seen how much Man United are prepared to spend in January, especially as a new forward is also likely to be targeted.

The Red Devils could potentially recall Ethan Laird from his loan spell at Queens Park Rangers in order to provide back-up for Dalot, who is actually out of contract next summer.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are among the clubs to be linked with Dalot, with the defender having a strong start to the season, while he impressed in Portugal's 6-1 victory over Switzerland in the last-16 stage of the 2022 World Cup.

Man United are believed to be preparing to open talks with the former Porto youngster following the World Cup, as they are determined to keep him on a long-term basis.

Marc Jurado, who played in Wednesday's friendly with Cadiz, is another option at right-back, although the Spaniard is only 18 and is yet to make a senior appearance.
