Manchester United reportedly hope that Paul Pogba will be tempted into remaining at Old Trafford by the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.
At a time when the World Cup winner was sidelined through injury, January addition Fernandes made an immediate impact in the centre of the pitch.
Given United's desire to add to their squad, it has been suggested that they are open to cashing in on the France international during the next transfer window.
However, according to the Daily Mail, United are optimistic that Pogba may enjoy playing alongside the Portuguese during the remainder of the campaign.
Should the pair help United qualify for the Champions League, club officials are said to be increasingly confident of convincing Pogba to remain in the Premier League.
Although the 27-year-old has just over a year left on his contract, United are able to extend his terms by an extra 12 months.
