Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a raid on former club Porto for Eder Militao after being left frustrated in his search for a new centre-back.
The 20-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Portuguese giants since being brought in from Sao Paulo earlier this year.
Mourinho is said to have been keeping a close eye on Militao's development in European football and, according to the Daily Record, the recently-capped Brazil international is now on the Red Devils' list of possible recruits.
Unhappy United boss Mourinho missed out on a number of defensive targets in the summer window, including the likes of Harry Maguire, Yerry Mina, Toby Alderweireld and Jerome Boateng, and may be forced to look for cheaper alternatives in January.
Everton were also recently linked with Militao, who can slot into defensive midfield and right-back if required.
