Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for Lyon youngster Mathis Rayan Cherki.
Cherki, who will turn 16 in August, has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona and Bayern Munich by reports in the French media.
However, according to The Telegraph, United are also firmly in the hunt for the attacker, who trained with Lyon's reserve side during the 2018-19 campaign after starting the season with the Under-17s.
The Frenchman, meanwhile, became the youngest scorer in the UEFA Youth League with a goal against Manchester City's Under-19 side back in September.
Les Gones have thus far been unable to sign Cherki to a professional contract and it was claimed last month that United had met with the youngster's parents to discuss a potential deal.
The Red Devils have also been strongly linked with Spanish teenager Mateo Mejia, but Real Zaragoza have denied that an agreement has been reached with the 20-time English champions.
