Manchester United have reportedly enquired over the availability of Bayern Munich centre-back Niklas Sule.
The Red Devils are expected to be in the market for a new central defender this summer and have been linked with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Toby Alderweireld and Matthijs de Ligt.
However, according to Sport1, United have now identified Sule as a potential target, with the 20-time English champions approaching Bayern to enquire about the 23-year-old.
Sule joined Bayern from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2017 and has made 78 appearances for the German champions over the last two campaigns.
An 18-time Germany international, the defender stands at 6ft 5in and would add a serious presence to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's defence heading into the 2019-2020 campaign.
Sule still has three years left to run on his contract at the Allianz Arena, though, suggesting that United would have to come up with a big offer to tempt Bayern into a sale.
