Manchester United will reportedly have to come up with an offer in the region of £35m if they wish to sign Emre Can from Juventus during the January transfer window.
The speculation linking Can with a move to Old Trafford has intensified in recent days as United are seemingly putting plans in place for the winter market.
The Red Devils are currently short in the middle of the park after failing to replace Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, with the former leaving for China in January and the latter on a free transfer during the summer.
Paul Pogba's future remains the subject of much speculation, while the France international is currently not available for selection due to a troublesome ankle issue.
Can has only made three substitute appearances in Serie A this season, and the 25-year-old is likely to be available for transfer at the start of 2020 after falling down the pecking order in Turin.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the Old Lady would want a transfer fee in the region of £35m before allowing the Germany international to leave the club.
Can, who has also been left out of Juve's squad for the group stages of the Champions League, spent four years with United's bitter rivals Liverpool before moving to Italy.
