Manchester City youngster James McAtee's contract situation is reportedly being monitored by Manchester United and Liverpool.

Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly showing an interest in highly-rated Manchester City youngster James McAtee.

The 19-year-old made his senior debut for the English champions in September's EFL Cup win against Wycombe Wanderers.

McAtee is regarded as a star of the future by City, but The Sun claims that the teenage midfielder - likened to David Silva - is stalling on signing a new deal.

With 18 months to run on his current contract and no signs of an agreement being in place on fresh terms, it is suggested that other Premier League sides are taking notice.

City's rivals Man United and Liverpool are said to be ready to pounce for McAtee, who has been capped for England at Under-18s and Under-20s level.
