Manchester United will reportedly attempt to bring two new players to the club before the transfer window closes for business.

The Red Devils have made three signings during the current market, boosting their squad with the arrivals of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.

Meanwhile, the 20-time English champions are in discussions with Jonny Evans over a potential return for the centre-back, with the Northern Ireland international set to be offered a one-year contract.

According to ESPN, Man United want to bring in a central midfielder and a goalkeeper before the end of the window, although any arrivals will depend on exits.

The report claims that the Red Devils are working on departures for Donny van de Beek and Brandon Williams, with head coach Erik ten Hag claiming on Saturday that the pair are in discussions over exits before the September deadline.

Eric Bailly is also set to depart, while there remains speculation surrounding Dean Henderson, with the England international said to be determined to move a club where he would be the number one.

Henderson is currently providing back-up to Onana, with Tom Heaton on the sidelines through injury, but he is still expected to leave before the end of the transfer window.

Fenerbahce's Altay Bayindir has seemingly emerged as Man United's leading target between the sticks, with the Turkey international potentially moving to Old Trafford over the next week.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat continues to be heavily linked with a move to the club.

Fiorentina have allegedly set a deadline of Friday for the 27-year-old to leave, with Liverpool also said to be keen to explore a deal for the Morocco international.

Man United are therefore facing a race against the clock when it comes to moving players on, with funds needed to be generated due to the rules surrounding Financial Fair Play.

Fred has already left Old Trafford to make room in midfield, while Scott McTominay would also allegedly be allowed to leave for the right price before the end of the month.

Man United opened their 2023-24 Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 14, but they lost 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

There is believed to be a chance that Hojlund could be available to face Nottingham Forest this weekend, with the forward in the latter stages of his recovery from a back issue, but Mount is out with a problem that he picked up against Spurs. body check tags ::
